M38 Gas Mask in Late War Can with Lenses, Cloth, and RetainerNice original M38 (rubber) German gas mask in a 1944 type late war can with the taller mid war type FE42 filter. It is missing the straps, but it does have the replacement filters, the original cleaning cloth and the spring retainer clip for the cloth. The filter is actually still plugged to keep it fresh. The mask is a size 3. The rubber is still very flexible, but it wants to assume a slightly crumpled form as it has been in the can for a long time.

Return Logistics: Amazon offered a return, but the box is heavy, and disassembly/repackaging would be a major task. Final Verdict I really like this product, but I’m deducting two stars for a total lack of customer service. I’ve decided to buy tools and fix it myself rather than deal with a heavy return. I hope the seller sees this and reaches out. The lesson learned is to check every part of a product before assembly.
