Cometic uses stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. These are high quality and are nice additions for the VIVO standing desks. However, they only fit slim power strips. My power strips were too wide to fit these. I ended up just using Velcro and Command strips to attach the power strip under my desk and purchasing cable management wires. In the end, I think it turned out much better than using these cable management trays and also saved me a significant amount of money.
