Cometic BMW S65B40 94mm Bore .040in MLS Cylinder Head GasketThe Cometic MLS gasket is comprised of three to five layers of stainless steel. Cometic uses stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The wire solders very nicely. It's very flexible, perhaps a little too flexible. I used this wire in a couple speaker building projects. I like to put the wire in a drill and twist the wires together, it's a nice look and helps with wire management. The too flexible part makes it so the wire doesn't stay tightly twisted. To remedy that I use heat shrink at either end to at least keep the wires somewhat together.
